How Round 1 Qualifier will work in ICC men’s T20 World cup 2022 – EXPLAINED

ICC men’s T20 World cup 2022 is going to start from October 16 in Australia. Australia is hosting the ICC T20 World cup 2022 and is also the defending champion. Schedule of the ICC T20 World cup 2022 has been already announced.

The schedule of the ICC men’s t20 world cup 2022 is little tricky and the Qualifier round of the world cup has been explained in the detail below.

ICC men’s T20 World cup 2022 is consists of 16 teams where 8 teams have been directly qualified for the Super 12 round. 4 teams will be qualified for the super 12 stage from Round 1 which is Qualified. Qualifier will start from October 16 to October 21.  8 teams will participate in the Qualifier Round 1. Those 8 teams are given below.

First Round Group A

  1. Namibia
  2. Netherlands
  3. Sri Lanka
  4. United Arab Emirates

First Round Group B

  1. Ireland
  2. Scotland
  3. West Indies
  4. Zimbabwe

Now 5 teams for the Qualifier was already there, those teams were: Srilanka, West Indies, Namibia, UAE, and Ireland. While in the later part Zimbabwe, Scotland and Netherlands have also been qualified. Each 4 teams in both the groups will play each other and 2 top teams from each group will be qualified into the Super 4 round.
